English: Guernsey, June-July 2011: Reconstruction of Canon de 220 L mle 1917 Schneider, German designation 22-cm K532(f), at "Batterie Dollmann" on Pleinmont. The barrel and wheels are original, having been recovered from the bottom of 100 mtr cliffs by Guernsey Armouries. The chassis was recontructed by Marine & General Engineers of Guernsey using original blueprints loaned by the French M.O.D. to Guernsey Armouries. The barrel alone weighs 7.5 tonnes.
