| Description |
English: Man who was shot in the (and subsequently lost) his lower jaw, during the Spanish campaign of 1811. Age 33, recovered despite massive hemorrhage and suppuration. He can be seen wearing a silver chin containing a plate which allowed him to speak as his tongue was intact (but constantly dribbling). |
