Description
English: keechery is a suburb of the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India, located in the district of Ernakulam.

Keechery, 28 km. from South Railway Station, and 55 km.from the Kochi International Airport. It is a coastal hamlet without doubt provides a fascinating glimpse of the simple and prosperous livelihood of the villagers, and also unravels the age-old, magnificent culture and heritage of the place .

western area of Keechery is surrounded by backwaters. The village which is 16 km2 .in area is home to fishermen, farmers, labourers, toddy tappers and coir spinners all alike.
