The Teutonia Club, Singapore. Established in 1856, the club was an elite enclave for the German community in Singapore until 1914 when the First World War broke out. In 1918 it was bought by three Iraqi-Jewish brothers from the Manasseh family, who turned it into the Goodwood Park Hotel.
