Summary edit

Description
English: Gwennap Pit, Busveal. This memorial took on its present form in 1806 in memory of John Wesley, who preached on this site, a former subsidence pit, as of 1743. Remaining a place of worship, the pit is 114 feet in diameter and it is said that if you walk around each level on the way down, and repeat it on the way up, your total walk is one of exactly one mile.
