Selon la religion positiviste, les femmes assurent la médiation entre les hommes et l'Humanité, elles sont célébrées notamment le jour additionnel des années bissextiles lors de la Fête générale des Saintes Femmes ! Auguste Comte (philosophe, 1798- 1857), grand esprit de son temps, le fondateur du positivisme, a construit une des plus grandes philosophies systématiques du XIXè siècle. Sa philosophie positive se compose : - d'une philosophie des sciences qui réordonne toute l'encyclopédie et y ajoute la sociologie, - d'une philosophie politique et sociale qui veut réorganiser la société en France, en Occident et dans le monde. La rencontre d'Auguste Comte et de Clotilde de Vaux eu lieu en 1845, elle mourut un an plus tard rue Payenne, la maison voisine a été transformée en Chapelle positiviste par l'Eglise positiviste du Brésil (voir la photo). C'est sous son influence et en son souvenir qu'Auguste Comte a imaginé une religion dont le culte est l'Humanité elle-même. Une évolution étrange qui a abouti à la représentation de Clotilde de Vaux en "Vierge Marie" dans les chapelles de l'Humanité ou sur la sculpture place de la Sorbonne à la gloire du Positivisme.
