Das Bild besteht aus der Überlagerung einer gewöhnlichen Durchlichtmikrofotografie der Zellen mit einer Aufnahme der Zellkerne, welche zuvor mit dem Fluoreszenzfarbstoff Hoechst 33342 angefärbt wurden.
