Description A U.S. Navy McDonnell F-4J-35-MC Phantom II (BuNo 155786) from Fighter Squadron VF-92 Silver Kings is readied for launching aboard the aircraft carrier USS America (CVA-66). VF-92 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 9 (CVW-9) aboard the America for a deployment to Vietnam from 10 April to 21 December 1970.
Note the Sikorsky HH-3A Sea King from Helicopter Combat Support Squadron HC-7 Sea Devils in the background.
