English: HMS Illustrious sits off Lossiemouth Can you spot the "ski jump" where the Harriers launch from? Is that a rifle which the figure on top of the ski jump to the right is toting? I called the bridge on several occasions for clearance for a photographic run but had no response. Perhaps it was beneath the dignity of this monster to speak to a 16 foot boat or perhaps there is a want in their seamanship skills! In the distance the shoreline near Hopeman can be seen. |
