Title
English: Handmade china cabinet at Renfro residence, Beaux Arts Village, circa 1910
Description
English:

Beaux Arts Village, a lakeside community near Bellevue, Washington, was originally established in 1908 by several Seattle members of the Society of Beaux Arts, including Alfred Renfro. The isolated artists colony, created for members to live and work in a natural setting, included ten acres for community outdoor recreation, art studios and craft workshops. At the time there was no electricity or phone service, and water had to be carried from Lake Washington. This image shows the china cabinet at the Renfro residence in Beaux Arts Village, handmade by co-founder, artist, editorial cartoonist, photographer, and architect Alfred Renfro (1877-1964)"

Caption on verso: Outside wall of pantry: window in center. Dogwood tree crosses this window. Doors and drawers are made from Alaska cedar; hardware of copper, made by myself. Caption on a second photo of this same cabinet indicates that "Finish of this and kitchen is in old ivory and apple green."
