English: Handwritten resignation of Reza Shah Pahlavi, the monarch of Iran, as he was abdicated by the Allies invading Iranian soil. He passed the throne to his crown prince and son Mohammad Reza.

فارسی: نظر باینکه من همه قوای خود را در این چند ساله مصروف امور کشور کرده و ناتوان شده‌ام حس می‌کنم که اینک وقت آن رسیده است که یک قوه و بنیه جوانتری به کارهای کشور که مراقبت دائم لازم دارد بپردازد و اسباب سعادت‌ورزی ملت را فراهم آورد بنابراین امر سلطنت را به ولیعهد و جانشین خود تفویض کرده و از کار کناره نمودم از امروز که ۲۵ شهریور ماه ۱۳۲۰ است عموم ملت از کشوری و لشکری ولیعهد و جانشین قانونی مرا باید به سلطنت بشناسند و آنچه از سوی مصالح نسبت به من می کردند نسبت به ایشان منظور دارند.
