| Description |
English: Built in the early 20th Century, this Spanish Colonial Revival-style building features a stucco clad exterior, hipped red tile roof with gables and broad overhanging eaves, a first floor lanai with arches supported by decorative columns, a third floor lanai above the front entry, lanais on the two front wings, casement windows and french doors, and circular and rectangular attic vents. The building is one of the oldest remaining structures on the campus of the Queen’s Medical Center, founded as a nonprofit hospital serving the people of Hawaii by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV in 1859. |
