Brittain joined the Army Service Corps in 1913 and this photograph was taken just before he, and his horse Grace, left for the Front in 1914. Although Grace was killed in action, Harry served through the War and died in the Cambridge Military Hospital at Aldershot in 1929 aged 31. |
