English: Funeral hatchment in StMary's Church, Avington, Hampshire, to Lady Anne Brydges (d.1836), daughter and sole heiress of James Brydges, 3rd Duke of Chandos and wife of Richard Nugent-Temple-Grenville, 1st Duke of Buckingham and Chandos, KG (1776-1839). In April 1796, aged 20, the then Earl Temple married the Lady Anne Brydges, and in accordance with stipulations in the marriage settlement / will of the brides father, adopted the further surnames of Brydges and Chandos (thus becoming quintuple-barreled Temple-Nugent-Brydges-Chandos-Grenville), and the arms of Brydges and Chandos. • 3: Quartered arms of arms of Seymour, Dukes of Somerset (Thomas Bruce, 2nd Earl of Ailesbury married Lady Elizabeth Seymour, daughter and eventual sole heiress of Henry Seymour, Lord Beauchamp, third son of William Seymour, 2nd Duke of Somerset. Lady Elizabeth Seymour (c. 1655 – 1697) was granted the style and rank of daughter of a duke on 28 June 1672, and married Thomas Bruce, 2nd Earl of Ailesbury, on 31 August 1676. On the death of her childless brother William Seymour, 3rd Duke of Somerset (1654–1671), she became heiress of the estates of Tottenham and Savernake Forest, Wiltshire, and she also became senior co-representative of the royal line of Princess Mary Tudor, through the families of Grey and Brandon. Princess Mary Tudor was the younger surviving daughter of King Henry VII, sister of King Henry VIII, widow of King Louis XII of France, and then wife of Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk.)
