Summary edit
DescriptionHawkesbury Junction - geograph.org.uk - 1014581.jpg |
English: Hawkesbury Junction Hawkesbury Junction is where the Oxford Canal meets the Coventry Canal on the northern outskirts of Coventry. There is much fascination here for anybody with an interest in canals, including the old toll house on the right dated 1909. In 2006 it became what must be one of the most unusual police 'stations' in the country - technically a police sector house - when the West Midlands Police took a lease on the building from British Waterways to provide a service to resident boaters and others passing through. |
