Description

Three busts in the National Railway Museum, York. They represent (L to R):

  • 1899 marble bust of Sir John Hawkshaw (1811-1891) by Charles Henry Mabey (1836-1912) from a model by Edward William Wyon (1811-1885).
  • 1902 marble bust of Joseph Locke (1805-1860) by Charles Henry Mabey (1836-1912) from a model by Edward William Wyon (1811-1885).
  • 1865 marble bust of Thomas Russell Crampton (1816–1888) by Edward Alexander Olivieri (1826–1904) of London.
Note: The busts were photographed through a reflective glass case under spotlights.
