| Inscription | Im Stadtteil Oberbilk hatten seit der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts zahlreiche Werke der Eisen- und Stahlindustrie ihren Standort. Auf diesem Gelände befand sich von 1864 bis 1979 das Oberbilker Stahlwerk. Das Relief, das sich im Werksgelände befand und dessen Schöpfer und Entstehungszeit unbekannt sind, zeigt zwei Stahlwerker vor einem Siemens-Martin-Ofen, die eine Probe nehmen. Es lohnt sich, auch das auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite angebrachte Relief zu betrachten. |
