Svenska: Shamanhuvud inköpt i Banshan, Kina. Yangshao-kulturen. Ansiktet är tatuerat eller bemålat. Eller en mask. Huvudet har "horn" i vilka man skulle kunna fästa plymer eller annan dekoration. De är gjorda i samma slags keramik som typiska banshankärl. Axelpartiet mynnar ut i en taggig krage. Det har spekulerats i om det varit lock till keramikkärl. Värt att notera är att det på flera håll i världen finns exempel på kalebasser i vilka man skurit lock med taggiga kanter, bl.a. från Zinanfu i Kina. En annan spekulation är att sådana här keramikhuvuden kan ha varit figuriner, skulpturer som skulle finnas på plats i det rum där shamanen skulle falla i trans. Kanske skulle de fungera som shamanens medhjälpare som inspirerade dansen och själva seansen. Det ser ut som om de öppnar sina munnar för att tala, som om de vill säga något, eller sjunga något. Banshan (半山) är en arkeologisk fyndplats som ligger i Guanhe, Gansu-provinsen. Det tillhör en fas i Yangshao-kulturen som varade under ca 2600 - ca 2300 f.v.t. och upptäcktes av svensken Johan Gunnar Andersson på 1920-talet.
