English: Heavy skies over the Doethie, Ceredigion The sun shone for a while, but with constantly changing skies, the windy and wet weather dominant for the previous three weeks soon took over. The old drovers' road to Soar-y-Mynydd is hidden to the left of the trees . That fence line does not show its course. The land here at the upper end of the valley is used for some grazing of sheep and a few cattle. The darkened valley side in the distance is where the Cwm Doethie Fawr becomes narrower and steep sided, but a highly attractive and popular walk can be enjoyed along the bridleway which traverses the northern side of the valley. Open access land on the right of this image on the south side of the river leads over to the Pysgotwr valley. A footbridge crosses the Afon Doethie Fawr, but be aware that visitors are not welcomed by that particular landowner. Keep to designated bridleways through enclosed land around Nant Gwernog. Out of sight to the right are the remnants of the recently felled Nant Gwernog Plantation.
