Summary

edit
Description Killed at Passchendaele in July 2017 - awarded the Bardic Chair at the National Eisteddfod in September of that year. It was only realised that the winning poem, entered under pseudonym, was the work of a man recently killed in the Great War after he was summoned to accept the award. The event (in Birkenhead for some reason) is known as the Eisteddfod of the Black Chair after the award was draped in black. Plans are afoot for a development of Yr Ysgwrn, the Ellis's family farm, already a museum, to be enhanced and secured for future visits as part of the efforts to commemorate the centenary of the Great War.
