Summary

Description
English: Heidelberg Castle, Germany. A redoubt on the south-eastern corner of the castle. It was erected most likely in 1583 by Johann Casimir. The redoubt is 7,3 meters long, 3,5 meters wide and 9 meters high. The picture shows the southern side of the building: The five openings are only light gaps, because this side was free from danger of attack. But on the northern and eastern side there are gun ports for infanterie weapons.
