Hans Heger was the author of the auto-biographical book "The Men with the Pink Triangle" which described the experiences of a homosexual concentration camp survivor, called Josef Kohout.

The memorial park features an open bookcase, 'Alsergrund', a functioning bookcase for people to take and leave books, dedicated to the memory of Heinz Heger and the persecution of homosexuals during National Socialism.
