| Description | There are a lot of these hybrids about at the moment. This one I think has PBR on it (plant breeder's rights) which is a kind of copyright on cultivars, and means I can't legally propagate it for sale. This seems a bit odd because there are so many similar plants about. Could I be prosecuted if I raised something similar from seed and tried to sell it? There must be a temptation among the larger growers (because the licensing costs quite a lot) to acquire exclusive rights to all sorts of common garden plants to prevent other smaller nurseries selling them (or charging them royalties if they do). |
