| Description |
English: Fire Control Tower #7 in Cape Henlopen State Park is open to visitors to climb to the top and see the 360° views of the Atlantic Ocean, Lewes, and Rehoboth Beach. We were camping in the nearby campground during the Thanksgiving week, somewhat visible through the trees where you can see some smoke from campfires rising up. This was Thanksgiving Day, so we went up the steps to see sunset before heading back to our RV and cooking up a Thanksgiving Dinner.
Another WWII fire control tower is visible in the middle of the frame, which is off of the Delaware Bay in Lewes. The Deleware Bay is over on the right, near where it joins with the Atlantic Ocean at Cape Henlopen. Also on the horizon is the single wind-power turbine that is run by the University of Delaware in Lewes. With the direct brightness of the sun and the growing darkness on the land below, I took a ±2 stop bracketed 3-exposure set and blended them as an HDR image. |
