Description
English: A bust of the main co-founder of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, Henri Dunant (1828-1910), at the corner of the Rue de la Tertasse, Place de Neuve, Rue de la Coraterie and the Ramp de la Treille in Geneva, Switzerland. It is the work of the Genevan sculptor Luc Jaggi (1887-1976) and was unveiled in 1980. The bust is decorated with a Red-Cross scarf on the occasion of Dunant's birthday, which is also the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.
Deutsch: Henri-Dunant-Büste, geschaffen vom Genfer Bildhauer Luc Jaggi (1887–1976), geschmückt mit einem Rot-Kreuz-Schal aus dem Anlass von Dunants Geburtstag, der auch der Weltrotkreuz- und Rothalbmondtag ist.
