English: Portrait of the French actor Lekain in the costume of his debut role of Titus in Voltaire's Brutus (14 September 1750, Comédie-Française; accepted as a member of the company on 24 February 1752). The engraving also includes a depiction of Scene 3 of Act 4 from Voltaire's L'Orphelin de la Chine, first performed at the Comédie-Française on 20 August 1755 with Lekain in the leading role of Ghengis Khan.
