The Siding on the far right is the new turnback siding which will be used to turnback trains which used to terminate at Moorgate. This will be used so that the Thameslink Programme can be undertaken. The siding was laid on the previous old siding but a number of obstacles had to be overcome, including moving an existing 25kv cable to new position, dealing with Japeneese Knotweed, getting the design done inside normal railway planning.
