Nederlands: Het park op de stadswal langs de Geestersingel, aan de noordkant van het Clarissenbolwerk. Het beeld van de man met het kalf van Gerrit Bolhuis. De stadswal, uit de 16e eeuw, ontworpen door Adriaan Anthoniszoon, is in de 19e eeuw bij de Nieuwlandersingel en Baansingel gedeeltelijk afgegraven. Ook voor de aanleg van het Noordhollands Kanaal is er een gedeelte afgegraven. Daarna werd er een park op aangelegd. Een bolwerk is een uitbouw, van waaruit naar de zijkant vuur kon worden gegeven. |
