| Description |
English: High Street, Totnes A tourist paradise! The main shopping street in Totnes is full of gift shops, galleries, interior design emporiums and high class fashion shops. Trendy cafes are in abundance with plenty of pubs for more substantial lunches. This is the High Street. Fore Street can be seen through the East Gate Arch, an historic feature half way up the hill in the centre of the town is the East Gate arch. First rebuilt early in the 16th Century when the town had a highly prosperous port, and again in 1990 after it was largely destroyed by fire. |
