2009年秋の姫路城。 三国堀。このほぼ四角形の形をしている堀は天守閣が建つ姫山と西の丸のある鷺山の間に作られた堀であり、堀としての防御のみではなく、溜池としての役割があった。この堀が作られた時代は羽柴秀吉が城主であった頃にまで遡るとされている。この堀の名前は池田輝政の領地となった播磨国・備前国・淡路国の3つの国が由来となっている。 |
