ESTROFAS: ¡Noble Pueblo; de anales gloriosos Con la sangre y el verbo español; Predilecta del Rey victorioso Que jamás vio su Reino sin sol: Al fulgor de templados aceros, y al calor de una santa Oración, Castellanos y heroicos «Hibueros» Bautizaron tu sacro Pendón. Cuatro gemas de luz en tu frente El Señor de los siglos te dió; Y el rumor del HUMUYA turgente Cuatro siglos tu cuna arrulló: y a través de tu clásica Historia, Como en regio, inmortal gonfalón, Escudando tu excelsa Memoria Van Montejo, Cortés y Colón. Al ser este un himno conmemorativo al cuarto centenario de la ciudad, tiene palabras para dicho acontecimiento, que de cantarse ahora estaría fuera de lugar, pero con tan solo tres pequeños cambios este hermoso himno perfectamente se podría seguir usando, aquí una sugerencia:

¡Compatriotas! venid animosos Con laureles y canto triunfal*: A loar este día orgullosos De la Real Comayagua el Honor!
