Title:El Dschihad. Zeitung für die muhammedanischen Kriegsgefangenen. Author: Place:Berlin Publisher:Verlag Date:1915-1918 Description: German publication from a POW camp during WWI which sought to radicalize captured Muslims and persuade them call for a Holy War against colonial powers such as Britain and France. Several newspapers were issued under different names in six different languages, all of which are represented in this collection. Folio (469 × 314 mm.)

Contains incomplete runs of the paper in Hindi, Georgian, Urdu, Russian-Arabic, Arabic, and Turko-Tatarian. Each in own folder.

Russian-Arabic: issues 1-49/50 (missing issue 10)

Arabic: issues 1-82/83 (missing issues 35, 40, 50, and 67/68)

Turko-Tatarian: issues 1-89 (missing issues 17, 18, 25, 29, 32, 39, 40, 51, 74, 75) (also with 2 copies of issue 67)

Hindi: issues 1-40 (missing 6, 8, 16, 18, 19, 27, 29, 35, and 36)

Georgian: issues 1-28 (missing 3, 6, 16, 17, and 25)

Urdu: issues 1-89 (missing 3, 6, 10, 16, 18, 25, 30, 35, 36, 62, 66, 76, and 86)
