Description
Deutsch: Hiroshimasteg über den Landwehrkanal in Berlin-Tiergarten. Der Fußgängersteg östlich des Bauhaus-Archivs verbindet das Reichpietschufer mit dem Lützowufer. Die stählerne Zweigelenkbogenkonstruktion stammt aus dem Jahr 1987 und lehnt sich in ihrer Gestaltung an den ersten schmiedeeisernen Steg von 1834 an, der im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstört wurde. Der Name wurde 1990 zur Erinnerung an den Atombombenabwurf auf die japanische Stadt Hiroshima gewählt.
English: Hiroshimasteg (footbridge), crossing the Landwehrkanal (canal) in Berlin-Tiergarten and connecting the Reichpietschufer with the Lützowufer. The bridge was rebuilt in 1987.
