Summary edit
DescriptionHistoric Ireland - Glasnevin Cemetery Is a Hidden Gem And Well Worth a Visit (5545896530).jpg | As you can see from this photograph the passage of time, our Irish weather, lack of resources and vandalism have taken a major toll at Glasnevin but excellent progess is being made and this fine Victorian style garden cemetery is well on the way to being restored to its former glory. The programme also involves the creation of a new green space amenity - the second largest after Phoenix Park - by linking up with the Botanical Gardens and Tolka Valley Linear Park. It is all due to be completed in time for the centenary of the 1916 Rising. |
