Description
English: The factory building was built in the late 1820s to support a cotton mill. The waterwheel is located in the smaller structures in the foreground. It was in this house that on January 11, 1839, Alfred Vail and Samuel F.B. Morse held the first public demonstration of the electromagnetic telegraph.
