Description
English: Built in 1854 and expanded in 1857, this Gothic Revival-style house was designed by August Kutzbock for William T. Leitch, and presently serves as a bed and breakfast inn known as The Livingston. The house features sandstone block walls with a steeply pitched front and side gable roof with multiple wall dormers, a cupola with a mansard roof, four gables, iron cresting, an iron weathervane, and nine-over-one double-hung windows, decorative bargeboard and finials on the roof, bracketed cornices, a one-story bay window on the side facade, a second-story oriel window on the front facade, one-over-one double-hung windows, a porch with decorative columns, brackets, and trim, a lancet attic window on the side gable, and a rear conservatory with glass walls and a glass roof. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, and is a contributing structure in the Fourth Lake Ridge Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
