Deutsch: Historische Gebäude am Place Royale in der Altstadt von Quebec City (franz: Ville de Québec), welche von Samuel de Champlain am 3. Juli 1608 gegründet wurde. Zur historischen Altstadt gehören der befestigte Ortskern aus der Kolonialzeit sowie die Steingebäude und schmalen Straßen rings um den Place Royale. Quebec City am Sankt-Lorenz-Strom ist heute die Hauptstadt der französischsprachigen, kanadischen Provinz Québec und einzige Stadt Amerikas nördlich von Mexiko mit vollständig erhaltenen Stadtmauern. Die Befestigungsanlagen sowie die Altstadt wurde 1985 von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe deklariert.
Français : Bâtiments à la Place Royal dans l'arrondissement historique de Québec. Fondée en 1608 par Samuel de Champlain, la Ville de Québec est une des plus anciennes villes d'Amérique du Nord, aujourd'hui la capitale nationale du Québec. Les remparts historiques font de Québec la seule ville fortifiée subsistante au nord du Mexique. En 1985, le Vieux-Québec a été déclaré patrimoine mondial par l'UNESCO.
