Description	English: The Historical Archive of the City of Cologne collapsed in March 2009, probably due to the construction of an underground rail tunnel. The search for evidence about the reasons of the collapse continues even five years later. A special "Besichtigungsbauwerk" ("Inspection Building") has been built since spring 2013 to serve that purpose. The building on the left (letter A) was attached to the collapsed archive house. Letter B indicates a house front where another house was located; that house also collapsed. All inhabitants were killed. C points to the large hole where the archive used to be and where the inspection building is being constructed. In the background: Cologne Cathedral. Deutsch: Das historische Archiv der Stadt Köln ("Stadtarchiv") gehörte zu den größten und bedeutendsten in Europa und stürzte, vermutlich wegen unterirdischen Baumaßnahmen für die neue Nord-Süd-Bahn, im März 2009 komplett ein. Es brach an der Stelle ab, die in dem Foto mit A gekennzeichnet ist. Ebenfalls stürzte ein Gebäude in die Tiefe, das bis dahin am mit B gekennzeichneten Haus stand. Die Bewohner des Hauses kamem bei dem Einsturz ums Leben. In der längst von Archivalien befreiten Einsturzgrube (Pfeil und Buchstabe C) wird seit Frühjahr 2013 ein "Besichtigungsbauwerk" gebaut. Es dient der Beweisaufnahme für die anhängigen Strafverfahren. Im Hintergrund ist der Kölner Dom zu sehen.
