Description
Deutsch: Rathaus Köln, Eingang des Hansasaales im ersten Obergeschoss. Die Tür entstammt dem städtischen Zeughauss, das auch mit Vertäfelungen ausgestattet gewesen sein soll. Dort bildete sie den Zugang von der Wendeltreppe in den oberen Saal. Die nit prachtvollen Eimlegearbeiten und Schnitzereien gestaltete Tür wird als ein Werk des Melchior von Reidt (oder Raedt) angesehen, der auch die ebenfalls mit Intarsien versehene Eingangstür des Senatssaleles schuf. Im Jahr 1871 erwarb die Stadt köln das Kunstwek vom preußischen Fiskus zu einem Preis von 421 talern und ließ sie dann in ihrem Rathaus einbauen.
