| Description | Hjelmkollen and Ringdalsfjorden (Iddefjorden) seen from the Svinesund bridge. Norway on the left, Sweden on the right of the fjord. Overlooking Ringdalsfjorden (often mislabeled Iddefjorden) which is the fjord leading into Halden, Norway. The mountain to the left is named Hjelmkollen (after its shape - roughly translates to "helmet hill") and has remains of bunkers and an artillery position from WWII, left behind by the germans (no bridges was built over the border to Sweden back then). |
