English: Cloth armband (brassard, Norwegian: armbind) for personnel of the Hjemmevernet/heimevernet, the Norwegian Home Guard founded after World War II in 1946. Decorated with the national colours of Norway and monogram of King Haakon VII of Norway. Photo taken at the Hjemmefrontmuseet Rakkestad, a local World War II museum in Rakkestad, Norway, exhibiting items related to the German occupation of Norway 1940 – 1945, Norwegian, German, and Allied military forces, the Norwegian resistance movement and everyday life during the war, etc.
