| Description |
English: Hlinsko is a town with a total area of 2 426.91 ha and a range of 550-670 m above sea level in the landscape part of the Iron Mountains, in the northern part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Lies from the point of view of administrative administration in the Chrudim district belonging to the Pardubice Region in the territory of the Czech Republic. The city center lies in the valley of the upper reaches of the river "Chrudimka", a large part of the town on the southwest and western slope of the ridge of the Iron Mountains with peaks "Medkovy" hills (638 m) and "Čertovina" (655 m). Part of town Blatno lies at an altitude of 570 meters at the foot of peak Pešava (697 m). A large part of the cadastral area is located in the Protected Landscape Area of "Žďárské" Hills with a natural monument and a European-important locality of "Ratajské" ponds. Čeština: Hlinsko je město o celkové rozloze 2 426,91 ha a v rozsahu poloh 550–670 m n. m. v krajinné oblasti Železných hor, v severní části Českomoravské vrchoviny. Leží z hlediska administrativně správního v okrese Chrudim náležejícím do Pardubického kraje na území České republiky. Centrum města leží v údolí horního toku řeky Chrudimky, velká část města na jihozápadním až západním svahu hřebene Železných hor s vrcholy Medkovy kopce (638 m) a Čertovina (655 m). Část města Blatno leží v nadmořské výšce 570 m na úpatí vrcholu Pešava (697 m). Velká část katastrálního území se nachází v Chráněné krajinné oblasti Žďárských vrchů s přírodní památkou a evropsky významnou lokalitou Ratajské rybníky.
