Suomi: Lewis Hamilton pyöräytti Mercedeksensä Sachs-mutkan rengasvalliin Saksan Grand Prix'n aika-ajojen ensimmäisessä osiossa. Törmäyksen aiheutti oikean etupyörän jarrulevyn rikkoutuminen. Törmäyksen seurauksena Hamilton ei pystynyt osallistumaan aika-ajojen toiseen saati kolmanteen osioon, jääden 15. lähtöruutuun.
English: Braking for the left-handed Sachs corner in the first qualifying session of the 2014 German GP, Lewis Hamilton was sent off the circuit and into the tyre wall after a brake disc failure. The crash that left Hamilton sore yet uninjured forced him to start the race from the 15th place.
