Description
English: German schooner Ayesha under the command of Captain von Mücke arriving at the Yemeni port of Hodeidah on 9 January 1915. Contemporary German postcard. (Actually the “Ayesha” was sunk in the Indian Ocean weeks before and the steamboat “Choising” was used for the route to Hodeida.)
Deutsch: S. M. Schiff „Ayesha“ landet in Hodeida 4. Feb. 1915 mit der Restmannschaft der „Emden“ – Kapitänleutnant v. Mücke. Fotomontage auf zeitgenössischer Postkarte. (Tatsächlich war die „Ayesha“ Wochen zuvor im Indischen Ozean versenkt worden, der Transport des „Emden“-Landungskorps erfolgte durch den Dampfer „Choising“.)
