English: Hog Lane ... off Hog Lane. A strange title perhaps, but to follow Hog Lane eastwards from its junction near Woodfield Spring Farm (see 137584) to Ashley Green, twice one has to turn right onto what is apparently a side lane, but is still named Hog Lane - whereas to continue past the junction would be to be taking a differently named lane - in the first instance Northchurch Lane and in this second instance, Johns Lane. So this photo is looking along the offshoot Hog Lane as it heads for Ashley Green. |
