English: Hollins Head - quite close to Aberdeen. To be honest, there was little of distinction in this pleasant rural gridsquare. Until the signpost at the junction of Arley Lane and Blundell Lane announced "Aberdeen 3/4mi". Local residents (who wondered if we were robbers casing the joint) pointed out that the local Baron was from Fifeshire, and chose to name districts in a manner that relieved his homesickness. |
