Description
The Danish naval officer W. A. Graah headed an expedition to East Greenland in 1828-1831. When he came back, he published an account in the book Undersögelses-Reise til Östkysten af Grönland in 1832. Based on his drawings and models, H. G. F. Holm made drawings and four of them were turned into engravings by his father, J. Holm, while four others were made by Oluf Bagge. After the books were printed, H. G. F. Holm hand-coloured all the illustrations. This illustration (Table I) is from a book sold at Bruun Rasmussen Auctions.
