The Holt-Law House near the corner of New Jersey Avenue and C Street, SE, razed for construction of the Cannon House Office Building in 1904.

The 4/5/03 "Washington Times" reported that it was built ca. 1796. Thomas Law was an important early builder and speculator in D.C. real estate.
