Summary edit

Description
English: The Holy Well of Saint Anne on Priest Hill near its junction with St. Anne's Road in Caversham, Reading, Berkshire, England, UK. The well, and a nearby "little Chapel on the Bridge" which is no longer extant, date back to medieval times. The well's mineral waters were believed by pilgrims to have healing powers. The location of the well was lost until 1906 when it was discovered by workmen. The memorial drinking fountain and cover of the well were built and dedicated in 1908.
