This media file has been nominated for deletion since 15 August 2024. To discuss it, please visit the nomination page.
Do not remove this tag until the deletion nomination is closed. Reason for the nomination: All those files are carelessly copied from flickr EPA/NARA accounts - but the full collection has already been uploaded to Commons by the 2011 US National Archives upload. Those files here are not only redundant, they also have stronger compression, and only a fraction of the metadata compared to the original uploads.

Original Caption: Home of architect Richard Crowther, that is heated with solar energy collected by flat plate collectors. A flat black aluminum plate behind the glass absorbs sunlight and heats air forced between the glass and the black plate. The air is then forced through a bin containing several tons of two inch sized rocks, that store the heat. Because of extra special insulating features of this home, the solar heating system provides almost 90 percent of the heat needed, 05/1975.
